Terms of Service

Last updated: May 20, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the 247privatesecurity.com website and your engagement with 247 Private Security (“we,” “us,” or “our”) for any security services. By using our website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Our licensure

247 Private Security is a California-licensed Private Patrol Operator under PPO 120440, issued by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). Our armed officers hold DOJ-issued exposed-carry firearm permits in compliance with the California Bureau of Firearms. License verification is publicly available at the BSIS website.

Services we provide

We provide armed and unarmed security services including standing posts, foot and vehicle patrol, alarm response, executive protection, event security, retail loss prevention, fire watch, access control, and related security capabilities. The specific scope of any engagement is defined in a written engagement letter signed by both parties.

Engagement and quotes

Quotes provided through our website, by phone, or by email are estimates only. A binding engagement begins when both parties sign a written engagement letter or service agreement. Verbal commitments do not create a binding service agreement unless followed by signed documentation.

Payment terms

Payment terms are specified in each engagement letter. Standard terms require deposits or retainers for new clients, with the balance billed monthly or per engagement period. Late payments may incur interest charges and may result in suspension of service at our discretion.

Cancellation and termination

Either party may terminate an ongoing engagement with the notice period specified in the engagement letter. Single-event engagements may be cancelled with reasonable notice; we retain the right to charge cancellation fees consistent with our preparation costs. Material breaches by either party may trigger immediate termination per the engagement letter.

Use of force and officer discretion

All officers operate under BSIS protocols, California Penal Code §835a (use of force standards), and our internal use-of-force policy. Officers exercise professional judgment within these protocols. We do not guarantee specific outcomes; we provide deterrent presence, observation, documentation, and response within the limits of the law.

Confidentiality

Information about your engagement is held in strict bilateral confidentiality per our engagement letter. We do not disclose your identity, post details, threat profile, or operational specifics to media, other clients, or in our marketing without your written consent.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by California law, 247 Private Security’s total liability under any engagement is limited to the fees paid for the engagement in the preceding six months. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those cases the limitations apply to the maximum extent permitted.

Insurance

We maintain general liability insurance with a minimum aggregate of $2,000,000 plus errors-and-omissions coverage. Certificates of insurance are available on request as part of standard engagement onboarding.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold 247 Private Security harmless from claims arising from your provision of inaccurate information, your direction to engage in activities outside the scope of our services, or your breach of these Terms.

Website use

You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with site operation, scrape content for resale, or use the site to violate any law. We may suspend or terminate access for violations.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and software — is the property of 247 Private Security or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not reproduce or distribute our content without written permission.

Disputes and governing law

These Terms are governed by California law. Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California. The parties waive any objection to venue or jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance.
