EMERGENCY AND TEMPORARY SECURITY

Emergency and temporary security is rapid-deployment coverage for businesses, properties, and residences facing an unexpected threat — a burglary or robbery, a workplace-violence incident, a post-eviction dispute, a fire or flood displacement, a protest, civil unrest, or a credible threat against staff or principals. 247 Private Security operates a 24/7 dispatch center that can have a BSIS-certified officer on site within 90 minutes anywhere in our Greater Los Angeles coverage zone, with armed coverage available within 2 hours for high-threat scenarios.

When emergency security is needed

  • Post-burglary or robbery — businesses or homes just hit need immediate visible deterrence to prevent repeat attempts (most repeats happen within 7 days of the original)
  • Post-eviction — landlords serving notice on aggressive or threatening tenants; coverage at the property until the eviction is complete and the tenant has vacated
  • Workplace-violence incidents — terminated employee threatening management, harassment escalation, domestic-violence spillover into the workplace
  • Civil unrest, protests, riots — businesses or residential buildings in active protest zones
  • Fire, flood, or natural-disaster displacement — property left vacant or partially damaged is highly vulnerable; immediate coverage prevents looting and secondary loss
  • Credible threats against staff or principals — executive-protection-style coverage for an individual facing a stalking, harassment, or violence threat
  • Construction or commercial property breach — site just hit by theft or vandalism needs immediate coverage until a permanent plan is in place
  • VIP, talent, or media-event temporary coverage — short-duration EP-style coverage for visiting executives, talent, or speakers

PROCESS

How it works

  1. 01

    Call Dispatch

Call 818-805-4342. A live duty supervisor answers — not voicemail. Initial scoping covers the threat scenario, location, immediate-vs-extended timeline, armed-vs-unarmed needs, and any specific officer requirements (language, EP-trained, female officer, etc.).

  2. 02

    Officer Assignment + Briefing

Within 30 minutes of the initial call, an officer is selected from our standby roster and briefed enroute. Briefing covers the threat scenario, key contacts, on-arrival protocol, and escalation chain. Backup officer placed on alert for relief or surge.

  3. 03

    On-Site Deployment

Officer arrives within 90 minutes for unarmed (2 hours for armed). On-arrival check-in with you or the on-site contact. Officer establishes post or begins mobile patrol per the scope. Direct radio plus cell contact with duty supervisor maintained continuously.

  4. 04

    Active Coverage

Officer maintains assigned post or patrol cadence for the engagement duration. Hourly radio checks with dispatch. All observed activity logged with timestamps. Any incidents trigger immediate 911 escalation per protocol.

  5. 05

    Transition or Standdown

When the immediate threat is resolved, engagement either stands down or transitions to a permanent contract. End-of-engagement report covers all observed activity, any incidents, and recommended longer-term coverage if applicable.

FAQ

Common questions

How fast can you have an officer on-site?

90 minutes for unarmed officers in our core LA coverage zone (Chatsworth, Northridge, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, DTLA, Mid-City, Glendale, Pasadena, Santa Monica). 2 hours for armed officers (firearm-permit verification + transport time). Extended-zone deployments add 30–60 minutes. Orange County and Ventura County deployments take 2.5–4 hours depending on armed vs unarmed and distance.

Is same-day emergency deployment really available?

Yes — same-day is our standard for emergency engagements. We maintain a standby roster of officers ready for short-notice deployment 24/7. Multi-officer surge deployments (4+ officers) can also be on site same-day, though large multi-day surges (10+ officers across multiple shifts) typically require 24-hour mobilization.

Can you cover post-fire or post-flood properties?

Yes — properties left vacant or partially damaged after fire, flood, or natural disaster are among the most vulnerable to looting and secondary loss. We deploy standing officers or mobile patrol within 90 minutes. Coverage continues until your property is restored or under a permanent contract.

Civil unrest, protests, or riots?

Yes — we deploy multi-officer teams during active civil unrest. Standard scenarios: businesses in protest zones, residential buildings near demonstration routes, properties next to looting-target retailers. We coordinate with LAPD command for protest-zone coverage and maintain strict de-escalation protocols.

What does emergency security cost?

Standard rates apply with no setup premium for established clients. New clients incur a one-time 4-hour minimum charge. Unarmed officer rates run $32–42/hour for the first 24 hours; armed runs $45–55/hour. Executive-protection emergency deployments run $1,800–2,800 per day for the first 72 hours. Multi-officer surge teams scope per scenario.

Can emergency coverage transition to a permanent contract?

Yes, this is the typical workflow. Emergency engagement begins, the immediate threat is assessed, and within 7–14 days the coverage transitions to a permanent contract with standard rates. Some emergency engagements remain temporary (one-shift event coverage or single-week post-incident coverage); others continue indefinitely.
